Amare McArthur is a independent filmmaker that strives to inspire the imagination of his audiences with his work. He started out working alongside independent music artists in the Bay Area (05.2023) before partnering with an up and coming fashion brand, Korrupt, as a videographer and photographer for various photoshoots. (Photographer: 08.2023, Videographer: 07.2023, Lighting Tech/BTS/Model: 07.2024). He worked as an editor for a podcast ‘Music Matters’ (01-05.2024) and a fundraiser for St.John the Baptist Middle School (09.2023).  Following after his prior work, Amare has shifted his focus towards his own personal projects; starting a creative series of portraits and videos titled, ‘Don’t Get Old’ (05.2024, 07.2024) sharing a taste of his unique perspective on the world and how he’s navigated through the growing pains in his early life so far. Amare is currently aiming to expand his projects and tell stories through films, he is currently directing his first short film titled, Anger, a paradoxical narrative about the mental breaking point of a student during exam season. Amare envisions himself as an auteur, he has a wide ranged of skills that go from filmmaking to music production. As each opportunity comes, he continues to improve. It is only a matter of time before his work is seen by larger audiences and his vision is realized.
